Power measurement, load control and verification runs are carried out as part of the calibration so your map is developed, refined and proven under controlled conditions on our Dynocom 15000FX chassis dynamometer running Dynocom Quantum software.

Every session is backed by dual industrial axial cooling fans delivering up to 373,000 m³/h combined (186,500 m³/h each) so intake charge temperatures stay stable during prolonged high-load pulls. Our calibration files are dyno proven: the same hardware and software used to develop maps for mobile remaps nationwide.

Dynocom 15000FX Chassis Dynamometer

The Dynocom 15000FX (AWD GDFX architecture) is a high-capacity chassis dynamometer built for serious performance calibration. Manufacturer specifications for the 15,000-series platform include:

  • Speed capability: up to 240+ mph (386+ km/h) roller speed
  • Power capacity: up to 4,400+ hp in AWD configuration (2,400+ hp per axle class)
  • Axle load: up to 14,000 lb (≈ 6,350 kg) maximum axle weight
  • Track width: typically 30–102 in overall; AWD linked rear section 36–86 in
  • Rollers: 24 in diameter × 36 in width drums with X-Factor knurling for maximum tyre traction under load
  • Measurement accuracy: drum speed ±1/1000 mph; RPM ±1/100; timing ±0.1 µs (platform class)
  • GDFX gearbox linkage: front and rear rollers locked to the same road speed - prevents false traction-control intervention and keeps AWD torque management in a valid operating state
  • Load cell path: optional centre-mounted eddy retarder sits directly on the shaft between rolls (no belt/U-joint losses) for steady-state load control - up to ~850+ hp additional absorbed load / ~2,300+ ft·lb torque class per retarder
  • Control hardware: Dynocom DC-Controller with differential analogue inputs, atmospheric module (humidity, barometric pressure, temperature) and integrated wideband A/F capability

This is the hardware we use to develop and prove calibrations - not a showroom display dyno for a single printed graph.

Cooling Airflow - up to 373,000 m³/h

Sustained dyno tuning generates heat in the engine bay, charge-air path and exhaust. Our cell uses two industrial axial fans directed at the vehicle. Each fan is rated up to 186,500 m³/h (51.8 m³/s), giving a combined cooling capacity of up to 373,000 m³/h (103.6 m³/s) across the radiator, intercooler and engine bay.

That volume of air keeps charge temperatures stable between loaded pulls so air-fuel and boost data stay repeatable in Quantum. Without it, intake temps climb and calibration iterations become meaningless.

Dynocom Quantum Software

Quantum is the control and analysis brain of the Dynocom system. During a dyno tune we use it to command load, capture channels and compare iterations in one place:

  • Atmospheric correction: SAE J1349, DIN and EEC correction formulas so power/torque comparisons remain meaningful across ambient conditions
  • Unified ECU logging: overlay dyno channels with third-party ECU data streams (including platforms such as HP Tuners, Haltech, AEM and similar) for true closed-loop calibration work
  • Virtual road simulation: applies eddy-brake load from vehicle mass, frontal area, drag coefficient and tyre rolling resistance - so final fine-tune can be completed under simulated road load rather than open-loop pulls alone
  • Load modes: constant-load, step, slope and PID-enhanced load control for steady-state mapping of boost, AFR and torque targets
  • Graph & data views: multi-axis graphing, customisable gauge templates, channel filtering/scaling, and export to common image/data formats
  • Run database: archive and search sessions by vehicle, peak power/torque and customer parameters for repeatable development of our dyno-proven file library

In short: Quantum lets us see wheel power, torque, AFR and ECU live data together while we write the map - that is dyno tuning, not a pass-and-print test.

Dyno-Proven Tuning Files

24Tuning calibrations are developed in-house. Where a strategy has been refined on the Dynocom 15000FX under Quantum logging, those files are dyno proven - boost targets, torque limits and fuelling tables validated under controlled load with cooling and atmospheric correction applied.

That same proven base data underpins our Stage 1 and Stage 2 mobile remaps. When you book a mobile flash, you benefit from calibration work that has already been exercised on this rolling road. A full on-cell dyno tune is the next level: your specific vehicle, hardware and fuelling are calibrated live on the Dynocom with iterative loaded runs until the map is finished.
